My great resolve to meal plan at the beginning of the week didn't get off the ground last week, nor the week before I don't think.
This week, and next, I will be flitting between home and my parents house, juggling dogs, hens and work, wasting time gazing into the fridge, rooting through the freezer, tramping the aisles in the supermarket is just going to annoy me.
Have just done a quick stock check and can base our evening meals around the following and compile a list for the lovely Ocado man to bring to me.
Monday - Ribs, using the best ever rib marinade baked potato and salad.
Tuesday - I have some diced rose veal, not really sure what I am going to do with it but have a vague idea based around either a Nigella lawson or Nigel Slater recipe I have seen for coq au riesling. We are in September now so those heartier meals can start to sneak in.
Wednesday - Duck legs, think I will use the harrisa marinade from the chicken the other week.
Thursday - I am sure by Thursday the courgette plants will need relieving of some produce so will grate them with some pasta
Friday - Plaice.
Nothing earth shattering or ground breaking in there, I am looking forward to seeing how the veal turns out though.
